Martin and I have just arrived from a very long drive from Illinois to central Texas. We will be around teaching for a few days and then on the road again Sunday for our trip to Lexington, KY for the World Equestrian Games and then onto Batavia, OH for the ISR/OLD 10 day stallion test with Gran Casso.
Congrats to Martin for great results at his last show in Illinois, the Region 2 USDF/DSHB Regional Championships! With Crown Prinz CEB (by Winterprinz) owned by Cathy Balance, Martin led this three year old gelding to a Reserve Champion colt in the open show and then later on was named Region 2 Reserve Champion Colt! Congrats to Martin and to this young horses' owner, Cathy Balance for their achievements.

With Jenna handling Split Mesquite Farm's horses at this past weekends breed show, the horses ended up with great results!
Breed Show I Freedance - Reserve Champion Colt (80.4% with a 9 on the walk!) Breed Show II Jypsy Rose - Reserve Champion Filly Gran Casso - Reserve Champion Stallion Freedance - Reserve Champion Colt Breed Show III Jypsy Rose - Reserve Champion Filly Gran Casso - Reserve Champion Stallion Southern Series Championships Freedance - Reserve Champion Colt Jypsy Rose - Reserve Champion Filly Gran Casso - Champion Stallion Jenna also showed her four year old stallion, Gran Casso, under saddle in the materiale classes with great results. A 76% on Friday, 81.7% on Saturday and a 79% on Sunday. These scores combined with the 79.9% earned in April puts them in second place nationally at this time!Gran Casso is also in second position for USDF DSHB Stallion of the Year and Jypsy Rose is in second position for USDF DSHB Filly of the Year!Let's hope we can hang on to these positions!! |
